Hello

Hello all. The day has finally come. I am going to join the blogging craze! Carey convinced me that people may be interested in our life here in quaint Belmont, NC. We shall see about that. But it's worth a shot, and now that I have a little bit of free time, I think it will be a delightful way to chronicle our many adventures. The photo below, I think adequately sums up Pat's and my relationship together. 

I am only kidding. Ish. 

In case anyone missed it, Pat and I were married on August 8th, 2010. We live in the lovely town of Belmont, NC. It is our little bubble. We are both only 20 minutes from work in Charlotte, half an hour away from my parents, 15 minutes from his parents. We could not ask for a better location. We live in a little apartment, part of a "tri-plex", if you will, tucked away in the woods. There are both beautiful and annoying things about living in the woods. We'll get to that later. 

We have a pooch. His name is Zeke. He is an Australian Shepherd/Something mix. We are considering having DNA testing done on him to figure out what his true lineage consists of. No, I am not kidding. He is 8 years old, but still a puppy to us. He belonged to Pat, therefore I have technically adopted him. At first, Zeke had a hard time sharing Pat with me. (("What!! No more sleeping on the bed?!?!")) However, I think Zeke finally has love in his heart for his Mama (and his memory foam doggy bed which is located on the floor).
